This reapplies the change that was rolled back, with the change that it removes the convertibility requirement to string_view, because that excluded some desirable explicit conversions (like absl::Cord). Note that this is now the same criterion previously used by testing::internal::StringLike.

Add a configurable `GTEST_HAS_WCHAR` option to control whether to provide `wchar_t*` overloads for `PrintTo`. Check implementation-specific standard library defines to determine proper defaults for `GTEST_HAS_WCHAR` and `GTEST_HAS_STD_WSTRING` and to produce compile errors if the users pick a configuration that depends on unavailable standard library features.

Currently, these macros do not behave consistently in how they convert objects to bool, adding extra const qualifiers or using operator!(). This causes them to produce unexpected behavior on types such as the following:
```
struct example {
operator bool() { throw std::runtime_error("constness not propagated"); }
operator bool() const { return ...; }
};
```
This change preserves the qualifiers of the evaluated objects and makes the evaluation strategy uniform across macros.

Subsequences are defined as: "a subsequence of a given sequence is a sequence that can be derived from the given sequence by deleting some or no elements without changing the order of the remaining elements."
See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subsequence
This new matcher checks if a container contains elements that match a given sequence of matchers in the specified order, but not necessarily contiguously.
The implementation is very similar to other matchers like ElementsAre or Contains.

Add an alternative implementation of the Notification class for MinGW
using a Windows manual-reset event object.
GCC version < 13 in MinGW, if configured with the win32 thread model
(with the --enable-threads=win32 configure option), does not implement
std::mutex and std::condition_variable in the <mutex> and
<condition_variable> headers. So the current implementation of the
Notification class, which uses std::mutex and std::condition_variable,
has compilation errors. Windows has a synchronization object called a
manual-reset event object that behaves just like the Notification class.
So we can easily implement the Notification class using a Windows
manual-reset event object.
This GCC issue is fixed in GCC 13. See
https://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-13/changes.html#windows. This alternative
implementation of Notification should be removed when GoogleTest
requires GCC version >= 13 in MinGW.
Fixes https://github.com/google/googletest/issues/4031 and
https://github.com/google/googletest/issues/4464.

Change a mention of Eq(Optional(nullopt)) to Optional(Eq(nullopt)).
Optional is supposed to wrap matchers, not values. For example, Optional("bla") doesn't compile but Optional(std::string("bla")) does. Optional(Eq("bla")) is the functionally correct version. Eq() cannot wrap a matcher.

The [Premature Exit File](https://google.github.io/googletest/advanced.html#detecting-test-premature-exit)
can be used for more than just death tests. Runners can use it to detect any
kind of unexpected exit.
Presently, its creation is tied to whether a platform supports Death
Tests. This change removes that coupling (though if Death Tests are supported,
then the Premature Exit file is implicitly supported).

While ConditionalPrintAsText gets a char pointer and the string length, it used to only pass the pointer to operator<<. That does not work for strings that are not zero terminated, because operator<< has to resort to strlen, which happily overflows the string buffer.
This CL wraps the char pointer and the length in a string_view and passes that to operator<< to fix that issue.

Clang has recently added "warnings when mixing different charN_t types" [1].
The rationale is that "charN_t represent code units of different UTF encodings.
Therefore the values of 2 different charN_t objects do not represent the same
characters."
Note that the warning here may be legitimate - from https://github.com/google/googletest/issues/4762:
"[...] This is incorrect for values that do not represent valid codepoints."
For the time being, silence the warning by being more explicit about the
conversion being intentional by using static_cast.

This allows users to override the fake SDK with a real one using https://bazel.build/rules/lib/globals/module#override_repo.
Without this change, it is impossible for a project that depends on googletest as a `bazel_dep` to build tests using the "real" Fuchsia SDK, because any references to `@fuchsia_sdk` within googletest `BUILD.bazel` files unconditionally resolve to the "fake" Fuchsia SDK. With this change, if you have the real Fuchsia SDK declared in your `MODULE.bazel`, you can add the following lines to coerce googletest to use the real Fuchsia SDK as well:
fake_fuchsia_sdk_extension =
use_extension("@com_google_googletest//:fake_fuchsia_sdk.bzl", "fuchsia_sdk")
override_repo(fake_fuchsia_sdk_extension, "fuchsia_sdk")
